Philosophy : First on the list but
not necessarily the most prior. I
think they are of little or no
usefulness in this society.

argue ceaselessly on whether
God exists or not or try to prove
an unprovable point saying “All
humans are mad”. They are
more needed in countries where
confusion is the order of the
day, scrap it!
Zoology : The reason behind this
is not far-fetched. We have less
than 200 zoos in Nigeria and you
still feel like being a zoologist?
Or you want to become a
researcher for National
Geographical Wild? Certainly not
in a nation like ours. That course
is meaningless, scrap it! Dodges

Social Work : Never heard of the
course until someone told me
it’s been studied in some of
those sacred universities in
some vantage locations at some
remote areas in Nigeria. I still
need someone to come and
explain what and why it’s an
undergraduate course in Nigeria.
Scrap it!
Public Administration : Which
public are we administrating? I
just dey vex! I don’t want to talk
much in order not to start
crying. #EnoughSaid
Political Science : Who knows
why ducks quacks don’t echo?
No one! Same as how no one
knows the head or the tail of
this course. It’s useless. Scrap
it! Dodges stone
Estate Management : And where
is the estate? Most graduates of
this course run abroad to get
something done related to the
course as it’s a total waste in
Nigeria. Then if that’s the case,
let them go and study it abroad
and stop congesting our
universities. Scrap it in Nigeria!
Religious Studies : If you want
to become a pastor or alfa, God
will call you. If you are in love
with the holy book, you can read
it. You don’t need to waste a
whole degree on that. Scrap it!
Marketing : Everyone has a
marketing strategy and built-in
ability. Ask the market women.
Though the course is more than
that I know but at the same
time, scrap it! Dodges stone
Botany : They just go about the
bush testing leaves and weeding
farmlands. Most of them
graduate to become farmers. If
that’s the case, let them study
Agriculture. Scrap it!
Library Science : As useless as
that ‘b’ in ‘tomb’, scrap it!
